Beavers and scouts had a splashingly good time getting cars squeaky clean to raise almost £900 for their group.
Youngsters from the 9th Hartlepool Scouts carried out a car wash at Bristol Street Motors, in Brenda Road.
Their little hands scrubbed dozens of vehicles throughout the day leaving the cars squeaky clean.
Some motorists handed over £5 donations leaving the Scouts, Beavers and Cubs with an impressive £437.
The manager at Bristol Street Motors, Les Moyes, matched the sum, leaving the happy kids with a grand total of £874 which will go towards the transport for their trips to Scout camp.
Cub leader Mark Anderson said: “The kids were really chuffed with how much they raised.
“People were very generous in their donations with some drivers throwing £5 in the bucket. We’d also like to say a special thanks to Les Moyes who helped organise and support the Scouts in this venture.”
