THE search is on to find a lucky lottery winner who is in line to pocket almost £120,000.

A winning Lotto ticket that was bought in Hartlepool has yet to be claimed and lottery chiefs are urging people to check if they are in line for the life-chaning prize.

The winner matched five numbers plus the bonus ball in the Lotto draw on Wednesday, July 10.

The winning ticket holder will walk away with £118,609.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings, this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life. We’re urging everyone who bought a ticket in this area to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune! We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”

The winning numbers on the ticket are 3, 9, 10, 16, 20, 22 and the bonus ball was 35.

The lucky winner has until Monday, January 6, of next year to claim their prize or it will go to lottery’s Good Causes fund.

The shop where the winning ticket was bought has not been revealed.

But to jog people’s memories, the song Love Me Again by John Newman was number one in the charts that week.

And Andy Murray won Wimbledon the previous Sunday.

Anyone who believes they have any winning unclaimed tickets for any of the National Lottery draws should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 9100000.
