A NEW festive craze is sweeping the North East just in time for Christmas – and now we want your ‘elfie selfies’.
Children across the region are being extra good thanks to the Elf On A Shelf.
The storybook comes with a cuddly elf which keeps a watchful eye on youngsters and reports their good behaviour back to Santa.
However, during the night the naughty elves, with the help of mum or dad, often get up to mischief.
Already Facebook is awash with pictures of the mischievous characters, and we want you to take ‘elfie selfies’ of your child and their elf.
Here is Harry Burdis, aged three, who was delighted to discover his elf had decided to hide in his Christmas tree.
However, his festive buddy had also been up to mischief by eating his mum Ashleigh’s advent chocolate.
Has your elf been misbehaving?
