Serie A pair battling to sign Newcastle midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum

Reports last week linked Italian giants Roma with a move for Wijnaldum, whose future at St James's Park looks in severe jeopardy after Newcastle's relegation.

And there has been fresh speculation in Italy today that Napoli are also interested in the Dutch international, who arrived in a £14.5million move from PSV last summer.

Everton have been linked with Wijnaldum too after the appointment of former Holland skipper Ronald Koeman as manager.
