HAPPY couple Andrew Bazeley and Gemma Kerr can look forward to a feast on their wedding day.

Their biggest occasion will feature food provided by an established Hartlepool firm which never fails to impress at the Bride of the Year competition, run by the Hartlepool Mail in conjunction with Robert Usher Photography.

Stephen Connolly is the proprietor of Cleveland Caterers, which can “cater for any occasion”, he says.

Once again, he will be providing the wedding breakfast, reception drinks, the toast and evening buffet for the big day.

Stephen told the Mail: “This is a good way to let people know that we are here and that we are the most unique wedding venue in the area.”

Mr Connolly said it was “important” for Cleveland Caterers to be involved in the competition.

He added: “It means that we can help a couple to have a great day and a really happy day.”

The company has six full-time staff, five part-time workers and waiting staff as needed.

As well as providing catering for functions at the Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience, the firm also handles weddings in an area from Carlisle to Richmond.

From intimate dinner parties to sumptuous parties for thousands, with fully bespoke menus tailored to individual requirements, the company can handle it all.

And they do it with the style and assurance which comes from the experience of more than 30 years in business.

Bride-to-be Gemma, 28, a mum to six-year-old Madeline, and husband-to-be Andrew, 25, a Hartlepool refuse collector, praised the “excellent” service offered by Stephen and his team.

Gemma said: “The whole service offered by Cleveland Catering looks wonderful.

“I think it is incredible to think we are the people who will be getting to eat their outstanding food at our wedding.”

And groom-to-be Andrew added: “I still sometime find it hard to believe that we have actually won this. It is great and it is a wonderful prize.”

The couple first became engaged after they attended the wedding of Gemma’s brother Graham last May at Lake Garda, in Italy .

The couple will now start planning their dream day, including taking their wedding vows in the Captain’s Cabin on board HMS Trincomalee.
