A GARAGE in Hartlepool has undergone a major refurbishment and rebranding exercise.
The former Nationwide Autocentre at Teesbay Retail Park on Brenda Road has become a Halfords Autocentre and opened under the new brand last week as part of a £3.8m shake-up among the group’s 253 centres.
Garage manager Stephen Hindmarch said: “The presence of a Halfords Autocentre is good news for both the company and drivers in the town.
“The local supply chain is also set to benefit from the company’s continued investment with suppliers and partners in the area. We also invest in the community with our industry-leading apprenticeship scheme.”
The Autocentre has taken on Michael Corner, 17, from Middlesbrough as an apprentice to cope with the increase demand for services.
