Shed fire at Hartlepool allotment site sparks safety concerns
A shed fire on an Hartlepool allotment site sparked safety concerns after gas cylinders were discovered inside.
Residents living near to the allotment site in King Oswy Drive were ordered to stay indoors by firefighters called to the area at 7.30pm, yesterday.
A fire in a shed containing five gas cylinders had broken out.
Crews from Hartlepool Stranton spent an hour and a half at the site tackling the fire and making the cylinders safe.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is being carried out.
