PEOPLE have the chance to shed some weight while also making new friends at a popular boot camp session.
The sessions run every week from Owton Manor Primary School, in Eskdale Road, Hartlepool, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights between 6.15pm - 7pm and 7.15pm - 8pm.
The boot camp – which is open to men and women – runs over four weeks and includes 12 sessions at a total cost of £60.
Organisers promise people will lose a dress size or get their money back and the sessions focus on lunges, squats, push-ups and jumps.
Weight loss coach Sue McKenna, who runs the sessions, said: “There is no equipment involved and the aim is to use the body as resistance.
“At the moment we have 23 people taking part in the boot camp sessions so they are proving very popular.
“We cater for men and women and have people aged 16 right the way up to people in their 60s.
“It is hard work but people will see the benefit and also meet new people and the price includes a nutritional plan.”
Meanwhile, Sue also runs a boxing boot camp from Hartlepool Peoples Centre, in Raby Road, every Tuesday from 6pm-7pm, for four weeks.
Those sessions cost £15 and includes a nutritional plan and four weekly sessions of boxing-inspired exercise, including punch pads, basic boxing and typical boot camp exercises like squats and lunges.
Sue, who set up her sessions a year ago, is the creator of WOW Weight Loss Formula and works with men and women who struggle with their weight.
