SHOPWORKERS are offering to helping hand through a community scheme.
Staff at the Wilkinson store in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, Hartlepool, are offering a helping hand to community groups and charities that need extra support with local projects.
Wilkinsons is appealing to anyone who is passionate about their local community to get involved and apply for a donation.
People living within the Hartlepool area will be able to apply to the store for a monetary donation, Wilkinsons’ products or team members can volunteer their time.
Keith Short, store manager at the Wilkinson store in Hartlepool, said: “The Helping Hands scheme is an initiative where funding is provided to support local projects, directly benefitting the lives of people who live and work close to the store.
“As a company, it’s great to be able to help local community groups and charities by giving something back to the area, whether it’s seeds to help a community garden bloom or paint for a local animal shelter, we are able to help.”
Application forms can be collected from the store and once completed, forms should be returned to the store’s help desk.
Successful applicants will be notified within three months of submission.
