RNLI enterprise branch chairwoman Beryl Sherry said: “Yet again the people of Hartlepool have showed their incredible generosity.

“I would like to thank my fellow fundraisers for their help during the day, as well as Mark Rycraft and Suzanne Chaney of the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre for their valued assistance.

“The money raised will go towards supporting the Ferry Road lifeboat station and help the volunteer crew to save lives at sea.”
