Hartlepool’s Middleton Grange Shopping Centre is in the running for national honours for the way it makes its workers feel valued.
Thrilled bosses revealed that the venue is a finalist in the UK Employee Experience Awards 2016 in the Employee Engagement category.
Centre manager Mark Rycraft said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be announced as finalists for this prestigious award.”
He said the centre was working hard to “encourage engagement and training for the team, this promotes a working environment in which all employees feel valued, and it means a lot to be recognised for the team’s efforts.”
“Productivity has increased and we have had very encouraging feedback from the team who are all committed to making the centre a better place to work.”
Finalists in each of the 20 categories of the awards will present their entry to a team of specialist judges at The Park Plaza Riverbank, in London on May 4.
Then, the winners will be announced during a gala luncheon on the same day.
