Some Corrie magic for comedy club

COMEDY fans are in for a treat when a popular club returns later this month.

Hartlepool’s Hot Potato Comedy Club has bagged a spot of Coronation Street and Hollywood magic – with John Warburton, Tudur Owen and Matt Reed headlining the line-up at the Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road.

The club, which attracts hundreds of people, will return on Saturday, November 26.

Peter Vincent, of promoters Ten Feet Tall, said: “You might have seen John Warburton on Coronation Street as Barry Sidwell, or alongside Robert Carlyle in Hollywood blockbuster The Tournament.

“But, to be honest, wait until you see him live.

“John’s a proper comedy powerhouse, hugely in demand at every top comedy club up and down the land, so we’re in for a top night at Hartlepool.”

Support comes from Welsh charmer Tudur Owen with Matt Reed keeping the laughs coming thick and fast as MC for the night.

Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8pm.

Early bird tickets cost £6, available up to a week in advance, or £9 after (£8 concessions).
