A popular group will be treated to a talk by a keen climber who hopes to tackle Everest.
Ellis Stewart is bidding to climb Mount Everest in 2014 in aid of the NSPCC. He will talk about his dream when he addresses members of the Cleveland and Durham District Lodge of the Oddfellows Society, from 7.30pm on Tuesday, May 28. Admission is £3. There will be refreshments and a raffle and all proceeds will go to the NSPCC. Dad-of-two Ellis is also using his Everest campaign to raise £60,000 for the National Society for the Protection of Children (NSPCC) in the charity’s 60th year. The Cleveland and Durham branch of the Oddfellows Society has 50 active members in its Cleveland and Durham District branch, based in Hartlepool.
