RESIDENTS are being urged to join a park group in an attempt to breathe new life into one of Hartlepool’s most popular open spaces.
The Friends of Rossmere Park meets each month to discuss ideas on how to maintain the park, and put forward ideas on how to improve the popularity of the area.
The group is on the hunt for new blood to try and generate some fresh ideas in the run-up to springtime.
Peter Joyce, from the group, said: “We’d love people to have an input on what can be done in the park, and get some help on maintaining it.
“Our meetings can best be described as a think-tank, where people put forward ideas of what can be done in and around the park.
“We have regular members, so it would be nice to get some fresh thoughts.
“Rossmere Park complements the town and we’re keen to see it develop and see just what can be achieved there.”
The group meets on Saturday mornings, and Peter said he would welcome anyone of any age to join in.
