IT’S time to help get Hartlepool spruced up for springtime.
A chance to take part in a two-hour spring clean is on the way this Friday.
From 10am, people can go along to Stranton Cemetery and help the Friends of Stranton Cemetery and the Wild Green Spaces with the tidy-up operation.
Squads of people, made-up from those attending the event, will clean the cemetery and plant a butterfly border filled with nectar-rich plants, to increase the numbers of butterflies and moths attracted to the cemetery.
Those interested in taking part should meet at the cemetery lodge, in Tanfield Road.
