Star Wars characters take over Hartlepool College as Force Awakens draws closer

The force really was strong with a group of fundraisers who staged a Star Wars-themed day.

The first three films from the popular franchise were shown at Hartlepool College of Further Education back-to-back on Saturday as excitement builds for new instalment, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

People dressed in costume for the occasion. which also featured memorabilia to look around.

The event was staged to raise funds for Hartlepool and District Hospice, of which the college is a patron.

Greg Hildreth, from the hospice, said: “It was a lovely event and it was great to see fans come out in force.

“I’d like to thank 99th Garrison for coming in costume, as well as the college for hosting the event.
