Still no formal identification of body found by police at Seaton Carew beach
There has not yet been a formal identification of a body found on the beach at Seaton Carew by Cleveland Police.
The force confirmed on Friday, June 25 that officers had contacted the family of Gabriel Kariuki following the discovery that day.
Gabriel, 26, was last seen by his mother in the Grange Road area of Hartlepool at around 10pm on Monday, May 17.
There was another sighting of him in early hours of Tuesday, May 18, in Victoria Road, close to Loons public house.
He has black hair with braids on top and shaved at the sides.
He was believed to be wearing a green hooded top with a navy jacket over the top, dark tracksuit bottoms, orange trainers and he may be carrying a black rucksack.
Officers later released CCTV pictures they believed could show him boarding a train to Middlesbrough at 8.28am on May 18.
