There is still time for supporters of Alice House Hospice to add a little colour to their lives.
Spaces are still available in next Saturday’s Colour Run sponsored 5k event at Seaton Carew when participants will be blasted with multi-coloured powdered paint along the route.
Starting this year’s event will be inspirational nine-year-old Lewin Tubuna who will be taking on a 150-mile coast to coast bike ride with his dad Suli in aid of the hospice next month.
Janice Forbes, the hospice’s community fundraiser, said: “We are delighted to be working with Lewin on this event and he is a fantastic example to other young people.
“I hope he enjoys representing the hospice at the Colour Run and we are really appreciative of the support shown by him and his family.
“As for the run, we are hoping for a bigger turn out than ever and are looking forward to another great day, that most importantly will raise lots of money to support hospice patients.”
Taking place on July 21, the run starts at the Old Coach Park at Seaton at 11am.
A DJ will be get the crowd in the mood from 10am and dancers will lead an energetic warm up before the start.
There will also be displays from Hartlepool Hawks before and after the run.
It will be the fourth annual Colour Run and is open to all ages and abilities.
It costs £15 to enter for adults and £10 for children, or £40 for a family (2 adults and 2 children).
Everyone who registers will get a T-shirt to wear on the day, a packet of paint powder and refreshments.
