GENEROUS store staff are hoping to collect pennies as they do their bit for charity.
Colleagues at Bon Marche, in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, in the town, are swapping their usual uniform for a touch of green to help raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The store is urging customers to donate their spare change as they aim to raise around £300 for the cause.
Shirley Lloyd, assistant manager at the store, said: “All of the staff will be wearing green until next Sunday, July 22.
“Hopefully we can raise as much as possible for a fantastic cause, £300 would be brilliant.”
So far Bon Marche stores throughout the UK have raised an impressive £2.5m for Macmillan Cancer Support.
