And now that dream is one step closer for Niloufar, after achieving some of the best results at her sixth for college.

Niloufar's hard work saw her earn A* grades in maths, further maths and physics and an A in her extended project.

She is now set to study mechanical and electrical engineering in Bath.

On her success, she said: "I moved here in November 2015 because of the circumstances in Iran and I have really enjoyed my time here.

"It is really exciting. I chose Bath because it seemed a nice city and I wanted to do engineering as it combines using your hands and mind.

"All of my family are very proud of me."
