Summerhill fun on the way

A COUNTRY park is set to be busy over the coming months.

Summerhill, off Catcote Road, Hartlepool, is running a range of events and activities until December.

Events and dates are:

October 29: A chance to try archery.

A session for adults (17 and over) runs from 10am-noon and a junior (11-16) session runs from 1pm-3pm.

October 30: there will be a high ropes event for 11 plus only, from 10am-noon.

October 30: an autumn snaps photography class for young people aged 9-14, from 1pm-3pm.

Cameras are not provided.

November 1: there will be an autumn craft walk for children aged 5-10 from, 1pm-3pm.

November 2: rock climbing classes – a junior session for children aged six to nine, from 10.30am-11.45am.

A session for those over the age of eight takes place in Summerhill boulder park between 1pm-3pm.

November 18: a free volunteer taster day to get some hands on experience with coppicing, from 10am-2.30pm.

November 24: to December 2 is national tree planting week when there will be a number of events.

December 16: Volunteer taster day that will be centred on hedge-laying for beginners, from 10am-2.30pm.

December 23: Make it a countryside Christmas, which takes place from 10am-11.30am and 1pm-2.30pm.

The cost of sessions vary, but they will be reduced for members of the Hartlepool Active card scheme,.

Concession rates are available to people on certain benefits, people who are disabled, full-time students and those aged over 60.
