The Wearsiders drew their last game of the season on Sunday 2-2 against Watford at Vicarage Road.

"Great last game the Stadium of Light, not only did we beat our bogey team Everton, we beat them 3-0 and sent Newcastle and Norwich down," said George.

"Ten years ago we cam down out of the Premier League with just 15 points.

"Thank you Roy Keane, thank you Steve Bruce, thank you Martin O'Neill, thank you Gus Poyet, thank you Paolo Di Canio, thank you Dick Advocaat, thank you Sir Sam Allardyce.

"He needs a knighthood that boy.

"He was criticised by Jose Mourinho for playing 19th Century football, that's what we want at Sunderland because in the 19th Century, in the 1890s, we won the top title three years out of four."

George also had a word for host and former player Robbie.

"You've got a multimillion-pound house, millions of pounds in the bank, you've got a house on the Med, you've got a Page Three model wife and you aren't as happy as me."
