Super scooter event set to raise thousands in Hartlepool for Miles for Men

Scooter enthusiasts are lining up a fantastic day of fundraising for a Hartlepool charity.

The Fourth Kick event - at Hartlepool United Supporters’ Club in Sandringham Road on Sunday, August 28 - features live music and a scooter show from noon, with proceeds going to Miles for Men.

Martin Finn, one of the event organisers, said: “There are six bands and five acoustic artists and they are some of the best acts in the North East. We started this four years ago and it has gone from strength to strength.”

He added: “We like where the money goes which is to local people and local causes. The work that Miles for Men is doing is really important.”

Miles for Men director Kevin Hill said: “This is great for us because they have been great supporters of the charity and a lot of hard work goes in to this event.”

The event is the fourth annual event and the previous three raised more than £10,000.

Hartlepool Supporters Scooter Club and Incrowd Promotions have organised The Fourth Kick which will feature six acts - Dig The Old Breed, The Wainstones, Plasma Jam, The Milgrams, The Arrival and Monkey Punch - in the main room.

The Upstairs Acoustic section features John Mcaffery, Marty Ruffles Pearson, Charlie Campbell, and Terry Abbey. DJs are Micky Corr and Andy Precious Hill and the compere is Les Watts.

Raffles and prize draws will be held including the chance to win a Vespa PX 125.

There will be trophies for the best Lambretta, best Vespa, best auto and best in show.
