Take the lead and put your dog in the picture

Dog owners are being invited to enter pictures of their pooches into a photograph competition ahead of their annual Dogs' Big Day Out event.

The ten with the most likes on Hartlepool & District Hospice’s online Facebook album will be displayed at the Dogs’ Big Day Out.

The dog whose picture receives the most likes will receive a prize. To enter, either inbox the Hospice Facebook page or email Greg Hildreth at [email protected].

The Dogs’ Big Day Out will be held at Summerhill Country Park on Sunday, June 26, from 10am to 3pm. Registration is £7.50 (with discounts for multiple dogs) and includes a doggy bag, rosette, sponsoredwalk, entry into the dog show and lots of other activities.)

Canine themed activities are planned, including a sponsored dog walk, agility competition, doggy tombola, hug a pug and dog show.

New attractions include an obedience competition with prizes for best adult handler and best childhandler, a treasure hunt, grooming demonstration and doggy first aid.
