Teenager apologises after ‘one too many’ lands him in court

A MAN says it was a “case of one too many” which saw him arrested for being drunk and disorderly after a night out.

Joshua Malcolm was in Church Street when he was arrested by policed.

The 18-year-old, who is studying bricklaying at college, appeared at Hartlepool Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to the charge from September 21.

He represented himself in court and told justices that he was very sorry for his actions.

Malcolm, of Bruce Crescent, in the West View area of Hartlepool, said: “I would just like to say I’m sorry and I’ve learned from it.

“I’m not quite sure how it happened, I think I just had one too many.

“I just remember waking up in the police cell the next morning.”

Chairman of the bench Kate Brown sentenced him to a six-month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay a six-month conditional discharge.
