CHART-TOPPING acts are set to perform at a garden party which is expected to attract more than 7,000 people.

Glaswegian rockers Texas will headline the Hardwick Live Garden Party, at the Hardwick Hall Hotel, in Sedgefield.

They will be supported by Jools Holland and Alison Moyet at the event which takes place on Saturday, September 14, from noon to 11pm.

Also in the line-up will be Britain’s Got Talent sensations the Loveable Rogues along with local acts such as Natasha Haws and the Fishburn Brass Band.

The Manor Born DJ stage will feature sets from founder of Retro Paul Taylor, Allister Whitehead, Pete Wharrier, Michael Johnson and Rob Oxley. There will also be a hot air balloon and an international food village, a champagne Taittinger marquee, Pimms bar and a Mojito tent.

The event will raise funds for Daisy Chain, the Norton-based charity which supports families affected by autism.

Tickets are £39 per adult, £10 for 13-16 years olds and £5 for children aged three-12.

Children aged two and under are free.
