Meet the real life super heroes who took part in a sponsored stroll.
From Batman to Superman - 40 fundraisers gathered to raise money for the Hartlepool Special Needs Support Group.
And the officials who organised it all said they were immensely proud of everyone who tackled the one kilometre walk.
The final proceeds from the day are still being finalised but Jamie Allison, from the HSNSG Core Fundraising Group, said: “It went really well with over 40 people attending.
“With all of the sunny weather that we had over the past few days, it was raining just before our event. The rain managed to blow over and we still completed our walk.
“It was an astounding success with all involved really enjoying it.
We have raised several hundreds of pounds. It has yet to be calculated, but most importantly shown that anyone can be a super heroJamie Allison
“We have raised several hundreds of pounds. It has yet to be calculated, but most importantly shown that anyone can be a super hero.”
The walk started when some of the support group members saw Jamie and others doing the Great North Run and wanted to do something themselves.
Everyone who took part got a medal and certificate.
The support group has its own resource centre in Park Road. The activities it runs includes a Children’s Fun Club, youth club, The Get Together Club, the drama arm of the support group Constellation, and The Friends Fun Club.
