HARTLEPOOL United’s chief executive has thanked fans for their “overwhelming” support.
The club, which was relegated to League Two at the end of last season, has already sold 1,118 season tickets ahead of the 2013-14 campaign.
Club officials say 200 fans bought their tickets on Friday alone with the 1,000th bought by town woman Gill Lawson.
Supporters still have two months left to buy season tickets, with adults tickets going for £150 and children’s tickets from as little as £50.
Chief executive Russ Green said: “We are overwhelmed with the support the fans have given us so far.
“To have more than 1,000 sales on board by the end of May is a fantastic foundation for us.
“We can’t thank the people who have renewed enough.
“We’ve said before that this offer relies on us attracting large numbers of season ticket holders so hopefully we will see sales increasing steadily between now and the end of July.”
