A WHO’S who of pop will be at Durham for a summer music fest.

Jessie J, 5ive, Blue and Atomic Kitten will take to the stage at the Emirates cricket ground in Chester-le-Street on July 19 and 20 as part of its Summer Nights Live programme.

Pop star Jessie J, who is also a mentor on BBC singing show The Voice, will be headlining the Saturday night slot at the 15,000-capacity ground. Her single Domino was the most played song in the UK last year, and she was the first female artist to score six top 10 hits from one album.

Friday night promises a pop party with 5ive, Blue, and Atomic Kitten performing following the success of ITV2’s Big Reunion.

Durham County Cricket Club chief executive, David Harker, said:“ Securing these great acts is fantastic news for the cricket ground as it builds on its growing reputation as a prestigious open-air concert venue. It’s not unusual for us to attract superstars from the world of sport, but we are incredibly excited to welcome these artists to Emirates Durham ICG. Our Summer Nights Live Programme will really put us on the map as an iconic venue for fantastic entertainment.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday. They are £25 for Friday and £32 for Saturday, and are available online at, or in person from the ground’s box office.
