Three-vehicle crash on Sunderland Road in Horden

EMERGENCY services were called to a three-vehicle collision on a busy main road.

The incident happened on the A1086 Sunderland Road in Horden yesterday lunchtime.

The cars involved in the collision, which happened around 12.30pm, were a Fiat, a Mercedes and a Ford Focus.

None of the drivers were hurt in the incident.

A spokeswoman for Durham Constabulary said: “The collision was on the A1086 at Horden and the location was described as outside the laundrette on Sunderland Road.

“The report came in at about 12.30pm. There were no injuries and the drivers exchanged details.

“It involved a Fiat, a Mercedes and a Ford Focus.”
