TIME is running out for artistic Hartlepool Mail readers to put themselves in with a chance for a great prize this Christmas.
Grand Central is celebrating its additional service between the North-East and London by teaming up with the Mail.
Grand Central is calling on people in Hartlepool to submit photos of the iconic locations that make the area great.
It could be anything from the Hartlepool Quay to Summerhill Park – and the winning images will be used to decorate the interior of the Hart of the North train, which was named by Mail reader Jack Sharp two years ago.
A picture from one Mail reader will be selected to be featured in the train’s carriage and the winner will receive a return family trip to London on board the train, as well as the chance to attend the unveiling ceremony of the new look train.
The images will be judged by Mail editor Joy Yates and Grand Central, and the winning snap will feature alongside four other images from winners across the region.
Entrants can email photographs along with name, age, telephone number and location of the picture to email@example.com using the title header Hartlepool Hart of the North.
Pictures can also be uploaded to the Facebook site at https://www.facebook.com/grandcentralrail
The competition closes on December 20 and winners will be selected by January 10.
A selection of the best images will be uploaded to Grand Central’s Facebook site. By entering entrants agree that their images can be used in marketing and on the trains and that their images are original files owned by the entrant.
