Drivers urged to find alternative route as crash closes road in East Durham

Drivers are being urged to find an alternative rather than use the road between Trimdon and Fishburn.

Durham Constabulary says the road is likely to be shut for some time.

The force has issued a statement saying: “We are currently dealing with a road traffic collision on the B1278 between Fishburn and Trimdon Village.

“The road will be closed for a while.

“Please us an alternative route.”
