A TALENTED bunch of bouncing youngsters scooped a clutch of trophies at a regional trampolining competition.

The fab five from Aeronauts Trampoline Club, in Hartlepool, took part in the Graded Regional Competition in Bishop Auckland.

And all five of them wowed judges to win first and second place trophies.

Coach Linsey Ryder, who trains the kids at English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College, off Catcote Road, said she was so proud of them all.

She said: “I was absolutely over the moon with all of them because they’ve all worked so hard.

“To have five children enter and have five to get first and second places is just brilliant.”

Eight-year-old Jake Atkinson won a first place, along with Benjy Millward, aged nine, and 12-year-old Beth Henderson.

Fifteen-year-old Emily Kirkham was also awarded first place, and Maddy Trueman kept the commendations rolling in with a second place trophy.

Linsey said: “They train so hard every week and their dedication and commitment has paid off. They tried their absolute best on the day and it showed with the prizes that they won.

“They had to perform a set routine and have their own voluntary routine which obviously has to meet a certain criteria.

“The kids were all really proud of themselves and they did the club and Hartlepool proud. They’re always so well behaved and they’re a pleasure to take anywhere because they behave so well.”
