Cut free after crash

A WOMAN had to be cut free from a car after a two-vehicle smash.

Two silver Renault Meganes crashed in Victoria Street, in Shotton, on Saturday afternoon.

A 46-year-old woman had to be freed from one of the cars, which had suffered damage to its driver’s side, by firefighters from Peterlee Fire Station.

She complained of neck and back pain and was treated by paramedics by the side of the road.
