Emergency services called to four-vehicle crash during morning rush hour
Emergency services were called to a four-vehicle crash on the A19.
The crash took place at the junction of the A179 during morning rush hour at around 8.30am and police confirmed at the time that the fast lane on the A19 southbound was blocked.
There are no reported injuries and drivers were urged to use an alternative route while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Police have now left the scene.
Durham Constabulary spokesman said: “Police were called to a four vehicle collision shortly before 8.30am this morning (January 21) on the A19 southbound.
“There are believed to be no injuries.”
