Trike wheeled off from garden after thieves smash off chain

A distinctive trike was stolen from a garden after thieves broke off a chain to wheel it away.

Police are searching for the thieves who stole a trike similar to this one.

Police in Hartlepool are appealing for information after the battery-operated tricycle which was stolen from a garden in the Hilda Walk area of the town.

The chain securing the tricycle was smashed off in order to commit the theft.

It was taken between midnight and 8am on Friday.

It is similar to the trike pictured however the main colour is silver with blue detailing and has a basket to the rear.
