FIREFIGHTERS were called after a bonfire was set up in a derelict building.
Crews from Stranton Fire Station were called to Tunstall Court, in the Warde Jackson Park area of Hartlepool, after the rubbish was set alight.
Firefighters put out the blaze quickly and believe no serious damage was caused to the former manor house building.
Watch manager Gerard Suggitt said: “Luckily it was quite a small fire.
“But there has been that many fires there over the years it it hard to tell how much exact damage has been caused.”
Crews were called to the site at around 9.40pm on Monday.
