AROUND 200 vintage vehicles rolled into town yesterday for a popular classic car rally.
Organisers, the Northern Bygones Society, were absolutely delighted with the turn out of vehicles on exhibition and visitors on the day.
Hartlepool Maritime Experience was packed out throughout the day as people turned out to get a glimpse of the impressive vehicles on display.
Paul Jackson, founder of the Northern Bygones Society and chief organiser, said: “It was an excellent day.
“I would like to thank the people of Hartlepool once again because every time we put a display on we get a fantastic turn out, yesterday was no different.”
The society organisers 11 exhibitions across the year and Paul was extremely pleased to get as many as 200 vintage vehicles in town for the show yesterday.
“Our April show is always our busiest,” he explained.
“I think this is the best turn out we have ever had for a September show.
“But it’s a good area for a display here, we can get a lot of people in without it being too cramped and it’s good underfoot as well.
“Thanks again to everyone who came along and supported the event and helped to make it another success.”
