STUNNING vintage vehicles were on display during the return of a popular event.

Here is a chance to see more pictures from Sunday’s classic car show, which took place at Hartlepool Maritime Experience’s car park.

Around 400 enthusiasts from Hartlepool and beyond turned up to cast their eye over the sleek motors.

This was the 12th year the town has hosted the event and the show was also held in Hartlepool in April.

Organiser Paul Jackson, of the Northern Bygones Society, which was founded in January for people interested in vintage cars and collectables, said: “Spectators were interested in the vehicles and history and the stories behind the cars.To me all the vehicles are special.”

Paul, from Newton Aycliffe, added: “There was another four classic car shows taking place in places including Ripon and Wolsingham, and I think there was something in Peterlee.

“I also saw lots of vintage vehicles heading past me in the Sunderland area, so there must have been something up that way.

“So I was very pleased we had 140 vehicles there.”

An MG from Wingate won Best Car in Show and Best Commercial Vehicle in Show was a Ford commercial wagon from Spennymoor.
