A HARTLEPOOL youth organisation is on the lookout for more volunteers to add their skills and talents to its range of activities and events.
The West View Project runs a host of learning and development sessions for young people aged 8-18, including water sports, orienteering, rock-climbing and woodland activities.
The not-for-profit organisation is keen to find more volunteers to join its friendly team and is inviting people to find out more at one of two drop-in events at its offices in Miers Avenue this Friday and Friday, November 25, between 9am and noon.
Matt Blanchard, the West View Project’s operations and resource co-ordinator, said: “Working with young people is really rewarding and this is an opportunity to be part of activities which make a real difference.
“We’d like to hear from anyone who feels they have skills, experience and knowledge which they would like to pass on to our young people and which would benefit our organisation.
“It doesn’t matter how much time you can spare – even if it’s an hour a month, we’d be really interested to talk to you.
“We’re especially keen to speak to people with skills in environmental studies who would be interested in helping us to further develop our woodland activities area near Wynyard and those with experience in minibus driving.”
If you cannot attend one of the drop-in sessions, but would like to find out more, call (01429) 272699 or visit www.wvp.org.uk
