Delicious street food and ales from around the region will be a key ingredient of a new music event coming to Hartlepool.

We Are Family is being staged at the former Jacksons Landing on the marina by Hartlepool’s The Jar Family on Saturday, September 19.

As well as featuring performances by over 15 local artists and bands, some of the region’s top street food vendors will be serving up their tasty fare.

And Wylam Brewery, producers of award winning craft beers will join Hartlepool’s very own Camerons Brewery to offer the finest selection of quality ales.

Among the food vendors will be Newcastle-based Longhorns Barbecue Smoke House and their Texas-inspired slow-smoked meats.

For burger lovers there will be The Fat Hippo Burger Bar serving up 100% Northumbrian beef burgers straight off the grill.

For something more exotic there is Papa Ganoush, a family-run Middle Eastern food business offering wraps with Lebanese chicken, pulled lamb shawarma or green falafel.

And Kitch N Crepes will be serving up sweet crepes with a varierty of fillings.

Jar Family member Max Bianco said: “We wanted to create something that really celebrated the vast musical talent in the North East and to acknowledge the support the local population has given us and give them something to smile about.”

Dali from the band added: “We’re always blown away that there’s a Poolie in the crowd at every gig, wherever we are in the country.

“We really want the town to get behind this so we can host one every year!”

Admission to We Are Family is £6 per person.
