Those were the heartbreaking words written on behalf of Jamie Leigh Twidale’s two small children after being cruelly deprived of their mum.

Jamie, 24, who had epilepsy and ME, died at home in Suffolk Close, Hartlepool, on October 31, just after bathing Harley, four, and three-year-old Skyelar.

It was not until the next day when her body was discovered with her children alone in the house.

More than 100 of mourners packed into St Aidan’s Church yesterday morning to say goodbye to Jamie at a moving service of thanksgiving.

A message on flowers on behalf of Harley and Skyelar read: “Mammy we are going to miss you loads. We will always love you and never forget all our fun times and our dancing around.”

Mourners released blue and pink balloons as her white coffin was carried into church.

Eulogies paid tribute to Jamie’s dedication to her children, sense of humour, love of dancing and socialising with friends. A tribute read out on behalf of the family said: “Even when she was ill she could light up a room with her smile.”

The tribute said Jamie’s stubborn streak served her well when she was diagnosed with epilepsy and ME and lived independently with support from her parents and close family.

It added: “Jamie loved being a mum, but she also looked forward to nights out with friends when she could let her hair down and dance and sing.” The congregation laughed as the family remembered Jamie’s desire to be a pole dancer when she was eight and describing her red hair as “auburny”.

The family tribute added: “As a family we hope everyone will remember her big smile and funny sense of humour.

“We as a family promise you Jamie we will always be there for Harley and Skyelar. They will always be loved as much as you loved them from the bottom of our hearts.”

Before becoming a full-time mum, Jamie studied childcare with a placement at Ward Jackson Primary School. Rev Andrew Craig said her death was “an awful tragedy” but said loved ones should give thanks for the great start she gave to her children. A Go Fund Me page is raising money towards the funeral costs Christmas for Harley and Skyelar.
