Saturday morning will see the worst of the conditions predicted by the Met Office as they issue yellow weather warning for January 11.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds on Saturday, January 11 from 3am to 6pm and may cause travel disruption through Saturday. Strong southwesterly winds are expected, with gusts of 50mph to 60mph likely, which may even reach 70mph over the higher areas.
What will the weather be like this morning?
This morning is expected to see the worst of conditions predicted by the Met Office, while it will be a cloudy start and mostly overcast with a slight chance of rain, this morning will see the worst of the wind.
Temperatures will be quite mild between 5C and 7C, however wind speed is expected to reach 23mph at some points during the morning blowing in a south westerly direction.
Severe gales are likely to continue across the high ground as gusts are expected to reach 43mph.
What about this afternoon?
Heavy rain is likely this afternoon, and temperatures are expected to rise but they will remain quite mild at 11C.
Wind speeds will also drop to around 16mph by 4pm.
What will the weather be like this evening and tonight?
This evening will see calmer weather, as rain may persist into late evening, temperatures will hold steady at 10C and wind speeds will drop to 9mph by 9pm.
