BUSINESSES on two industrial estates are being reminded about an online meeting where they can discuss metal thefts with police.
Inspector David Coxon, of Peterlee Police, is holding the online meeting from 11am-3pm tomorrow for firms on Peterlee’s North West and North East Industrial Estates.
It comes after a rise in scrap metal thefts at the sites and a force-wide operation to combat scrap thieves.
The session, which can be dipped into rather than people spending four hours online, is being held as part of the police’s Business Watch scheme that aims to help businesses work together to guard against metal thefts.
Company representatives can log on to http://peterleenpt.coverpage.coveritlive.com to take part.
