Weekend of comedy

COMEDY fans are in for a treat this weekend with the return of a popular club.

Irish comedian James Goldsbury and Geordie Andy Fury will be entertaining revellers at the Hot Potato Comedy Club this weekend at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road.

The gig takes place on Saturday, with the doors opening at 7.30pm and the comedy getting underway at 8pm.

Meanwhile, comedy fans across Hartlepool and east Durham still have the chance to snap up tickets for the first ever Big Mouth Comedy Gala at Middlesbrough Town Hall Theatre.

TV funny man Jason Manford is headlining the gig this Sunday, October 30.

 All profits raised on the night will go to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Normanby and The Yorkshire Regiment Benevolent Fund.

 Other confirmed comics include Jason Cook, Matt Reed and Danny McLoughlin, Rob Rouse, Chris Ramsey, The Boy With Tape on His Face, Martin Bigpig, Dan Nightingale, Barry Dodds and Andy Fury.

 Doors for the adult-only gig open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8pm. The last remaining tickets cost £15.50 and are available by calling the box office on (01642) 729729.
