Hartlepool residents are being advised that some council services will be affected over the festive period.
Administrative buildings, including the Civic Centre and Aneurin Bevan House will close at 2.30pm today, with phone lines open until 4.30pm, and re-open again on Monday, January 4.
The First Contact and Support Hub will be operating from the Civic Centre until 4.30pm today when the Emergency Duty Team will take over.
The First Contact and Support Hub will be operating from Aneurin Bevan House on December 29, from 8.30am to 5pm, December 30, from 8.30am to 5pm, and December 31, from 8.30am to 5pm.
During that time members of the public can call (01429) 523878. The Emergency Duty Team will operate at all other times on 08702 402 994. Residents are also being advised to put their refuse and recycling out on the correct days over Christmas and New Year as follows:
If your regular collection date was December 24, 29, 30 and 31, there is no change.
Those with a collection on Christmas Day it will be Monday, December 28, and if your collection is on New Year’s Day it will be on January 4.
Residents are being urged to recycle real Christmas trees by placing it next to your green bin on your next collection days after January 5.
The Household Waste Recycling Centre in Burn Road will be open 8am-4.30pm every day, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
The Stranton Cemetery grounds and Book of Remembrance viewing room are open to visitors throughout the Christmas and New Year holidays, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm.
