A DIVERSE range of entries have already started arriving for the Hartlepool Mail Sports Awards.

But the great news for those who have yet to put their names forward is there’s still more than a month to enter.

We’re after heroes from all sectors of the Hartlepool sporting arena.

Our new competition aims to honour everyone from the top team of the year to the best disabled sports people.

From the grass roots heroes to those outstanding individuals who have represented our town with pride at international level, we want to hear from all of you.

We have already heard from runners, footballers, rugby players and those who work behind the scenes.

We’ve had entries from inspiring individuals who have overcome the odds to compete, to teams who have turned around their fortunes and gone from also-rans to champions in a matter of months.

We have also heard from people who have put in hours of dedicated training on top of their normal working life.

More than a dozen entries were received within the first few days of the launch of our inaugural awards which will culminate with a glittering finale in early October.

Before then, there is plenty of time for people to put forward their favourites in the sectors listed below.
