Woman arrested on suspicion of arson after Hartlepool blaze
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at a house in Hartlepool.
Police have been at the scene in Wiltshire Way overnight.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said wheeled bins had been set alight around 11.20pm and the blaze spread to a flat.
A 25-year-old woman has been arrested.
One man was taken to North Tees Hospital for observation, suffering from the effects of smoke.
Three fire engines from Stranton fire station were called to the blaze.
Investigations are continuing.
