Woman collapses in car park

A WOMAN was rushed to hospital after she collapsed in a supermarket car park.

Three ambulances were called to Asda, off Marina Way, just after 1.30pm yesterday.

A 33-year-old woman, who is thought to have been with a small child, her mum and sister, had collapsed and was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, after being given treatment at the scene and is thought to have since been moved to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

Colin Ager, administration manager at Asda, said the store was inundated with calls from shoppers asking if the woman was ok.
