Woman fell down Hartlepool railway embankment

A WOMAN was rescued by emergency services after she fell down a railway embankment in the early hours of the morning.

The woman, in her mid 20s, called for help after slipped 15 feet down the steep slope off West View Road, Hartlepool, at around 2am on Wednesday.

Emergency services, including a crew from Hartlepool’s Stranton Fire Station, helped her back up the embankment.

Luckily, she only suffered cuts and bruises and was checked over by ambulance staff who also attended.
